A new task force from Russia's Pacific Fleet will join international efforts to fight piracy off Somalia until the end of October, the first deputy chief of the Russian Navy General Staff said on Monday.The task force, comprising the Admiral Tributs destroyer with two helicopters, a salvage tug, a tanker, and a naval infantry unit, will arrive in late July in the Gulf of Aden to take part in operations.
"We are deciding on the composition of the next task force to be sent to the region around the Horn of Africa in November," Vice Admiral Oleg Burtsev said.
