Australia may contribute ship to piracy fight

S-70B SeahawkThe Federal Government is considering sending a Royal Australian Navy ship to the Gulf of Aden to help protect commercial ships.

Two Australian frigates helped stop pirates from attacking ships off Somalia on Sunday night.

HMAS Sydney and HMAS Ballarat were off the Yemeni coast when they heard a distress call.
