Griffon Unit Receives $99.3 Million Radar Systems Order

MH-60R SeahawkGriffon Corp.'s Telephonics Corp. unit has received a $99.3 million follow-on order from Lockheed Martin for the purchase of AN/APS-147 multi mode radar system and subsystem spares. The system is deployed on U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopters.

The Navy uses the MH-60R helicopter primarily to protect the fleet from submarines and surface vessels.

The radar provides the helicopter with long-range search, imaging and tracking of surface vessels, a periscope detection mode, and an IFF capability to identify other aircraft in flight.
