I think Arab countries might possibly buy a Kilo or two to engender good relations with Russia and for prestege.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't think Arab Kingdoms are temperamentally suited to operate them. Years of dedication and close teamwork to maintain safety doesn't sit well with bowing before under-qualified sub commanders who are promoted on their royal status.
Also subs are not flashy - better to sail a fast patrol craft or fly the odd Saudi Typhoon on gala days.
