The Dutch armed forces are on a constant process of transformation, the final objective of which is the achievement of a "new balance".
The notion of this quotation is the reduction of the size of the armed forces on the one hand and the improvement of their deployment capability on the other.
The implementation of such a program is really challenging and it is becoming even more difficult if we take into consideration the constant reduction of the Dutch defense budget.

I think the new Russian resurgence will reverse the good intention of reducing defence spending.
