Daring leads way as navy prepares for exciting time

The date has been set for the arrival of Portsmouth's newest warship.

The Type 45 destroyer HMS Daring is due to take her place at the naval base on Wednesday, January 28 – the first of six ships of her class.

The new air defence warship is fast, agile and large – as reported by The News during sea trials of the ship in Scotland in May.
