Third Agosta 90B submarine commissioned

The most advance version of Agosta 90B class conventional attack submarine, Hamza, was formally inducted into Pakistan Navy fleet on Friday.

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was the chief guest on the occasion.

The 76 meters long and weighing 2,000 tones, Hamza submarine can remain at sea continuously for 60 days. It is equipped with state-of-the-art combat system, SUBTICS (submarine tactical integrated combat system) and capable of firing SM-39 Exocet missiles and wire-guided torpedoes.
