Polish PM to visit future missile defense site

The Polish prime minister is to visit the future site of a U.S. missile defense base on Friday and meet with local residents in an attempt to ease their concerns about Russian threats to target the installation.

It will be the first visit by Prime Minister Donald Tusk to the former military airport in the village of Redzikowo, on the Baltic Sea coast, where an American base with 10 missile interceptors is to be built just 115 miles from Russia's westernmost frontier.

Earlier this month, Poland and the United States reached a deal on building the site in Poland by 2012.
