India, Russia to start work on BrahMos 'hypersonic' missile

India and Russia today decided to work together on development of hypersonic version of BrahMos missile and have set up a working group in this regard.

The decision in this regard was taken at the 8th inter-governmental commission (IGC) for military and technology cooperation meeting here in Delhi.

The new version would be an improvement on the already-developed BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.

    The post on my blog http://spyingbadthings.blogspot.com/2008/08/hypersonic-brahmos-2-name-misleading.html shows an Indian mockup of the Hypersonic Brahmos which may be totally different to the current Supersonic Brahmos.
