Lockheed Martin gets $233.6M pact to build 24 F-16 aircraft for Morocco

Lockheed Martin Corp. said Friday that it was awarded a $233.6 million contract from the U.S. government to produce 24 advanced F-16 Block 52 aircraft for Morocco.

The new aircraft will supplement the Royal Moroccan Air Force's existing fleet of fighter aircraft, Lockheed said.

The company also noted that more than 4,400 F-16 aircraft have been delivered to date and production is expected to continue beyond 2012, with major upgrades incorporated for all F-16 versions.
