F-22s go operational at Holloman AFB

The U.S. Air Force 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico has formally begun operations with the new F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft.

A recent ceremony at Holloman AFB marked the beginning of the 49th Fighter Wing's operations with the new Lockheed Martin-built F-22 Raptor.

By becoming fully operational at Holloman AFB, the 49th Fighter Wing joins five other U.S. Air Force bases where the Raptors are stationed.
