Major scandal hits British military

Britain's Defense Ministry is facing a growing scandal over the deaths of British soldiers allegedly the result of improper equipment, officials say.

Shadow Defense Minister Julian Lewis said the ministry is the target of multiple accusations that it did not provide British troops adequate equipment or properly maintain other military equipment, The Independent on Sunday reported.

"We should fully fund the conflicts we have undertaken, and that has not happened," Lewis said.
