The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the Fiscal 2009 National Defense Authorization Act and several aspects involve Connecticut.
The bill repeals the Base Closure and Realignment Commission, which targeted the Naval Submarine Base in Groton for closure in Groton.
It also passes the Protect Act, including language from a bill by U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney to improve the testing and procurement process for body armor used in the field by U.S. combat troops.

That is good to hear. The last thing we needed in Groton is for one of our major employers to be leaving. I am in real estate and that would just kill the market. Right now the base is saving a lot of us.
