US orders weapons inventory after nuclear bungle

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has ordered a full inventory of America's nuclear weapons after parts of a missile were delivered to Taiwan by mistake.

The US military sent nuclear fuse triggers to Taiwan instead of helicopter batteries.

The mistaken delivery of the ballistic missile parts has caused a major embarrassment in the Pentagon.
