Russia delivers fighter jets to Malaysia

Russia on Wednesday delivered two fighter jets to Malaysia as part of a 900-million-U.S- dollar military trade deal inked in 2003, Itar-Tass news agency reported.

The Su-30MKM fighters complete the second batch of supplies for Malaysia's Royal Air Force, Itar-Tass cited a spokesman of the aircraft-making plant, an affiliate of the Irkut research and production association.

The final batch of six fighters will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year, completing the deal of 18 such aircraft.
