Short variant missile Agni-I test fired

India test-fired its indigenously built short range variant of Agni ballistic missile, Agni-I from wheelers island in bay of Bengal on Friday.

The short- range variant of india`s indigenously developed Agni series of ballistic missiles, Agni-I, was test-fired from wheelers island off the Orissa coast on Friday.

The test firing, termed as "users trial", was conducted from a mobile launcher from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) launch complex- 4 around 10.38 am, Defence sources said.
