IRGC Commander Stresses Iran's High Defensive Capabilities

A Senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that today Iran can hit enemy targets within a range of two thousand kilometers.

Speaking to reporters in the western city of Kermanshah on Sunday, top commander of the IRGC in western Iran General Mohammad Hassan Kousehchi said, "We are proud that today we can target enemies within a range of two thousand kilometers and that we can powerfully and courageously resist against any kind of enemy with the weapons that we have."

He further pointed to the Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 80s, and reminded that despite the unorganized nature of the IRGC and its affiliated Basij (volunteer) troops, it was the only war in the past three centuries during which Iran did not lose even a span of its territories.
