Boeing delivers first production EA-18G Growler

The first production of Chicago-based Boeing's EA-18G Growler airborne electronic attack aircraft has been delivered today in suburban St. Louis.

It's the first of 85 planes that will be delivered to the Navy as part of a nine billion dollar contract.

Instead of carrying missiles or cannons, the Growler carries advanced radar jamming equipment. It will escort bomber planes and help disrupt enemy air defenses.
