Arms display shows Taiwan's firepower

A variety of military weapons made their public debut during a Sept. 19 rehearsal at an army base in Hukou Township, Hsinchu County. About 1,500 troops and some 60 aircraft took part in the rehearsal.

The rehearsal was held in preparation for a military display scheduled to take place in front of the Office of the President during this year's Double Tenth National Day celebrations in Taipei City Oct. 10. The upcoming military arms display will be the first to be held since 1991.
