Russia: To early to speak about specific dates for concluding submarine contracts

The Rosoboronexport Company has conducted talks with Venezuela on a delivery of five Russian diesel-electric submarines of the Kilo class with missile systems to that country, adviser of the managing director of the Rosoboronexport Company Innokenty Naletov told a news conference on the results of the third St. Petersburg international naval show.

He specified in an interview with Itar-Tass that “the talks proceed at a high pace. We have made a big headway to signing a contract."

According to the Rosoboronexport representative, Venezuela already requested a feasibility report on Kilo submarines and displayed interest in a number of other development studies of Russian submarine shipbuilding, displayed at the show, including small submarines of the Malakhit design office.
