First Refuelling Ground Test on the A310 ARBS demonstrator successfully completed

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usEADS CASA has successfully completed the refuelling Ground Test with the ARBS (Air Refuelling Boom System) installed on the A310 platform.

The refuelling operation was performed using the real aircraft systems and a F-16 fighter aircraft receptacle connected to the fuel pipes. Several transfers were made through the Boom Control Unit. All modes were tested: automatic and manual connection and refuelling, and all systems performed well.

Following this test, EADS CASA will complete the Flight Test Program with the A310 platform, including dry and wet contacts.
