ThyssenKrupp-led consortium to receive 2 bln eur order from the German Navy

A consortium led by ThyssenKrupp AG's Marine Systems unit expects to receive an order to construct four new frigates for the German Navy by the beginning of July, a spokeswoman for the unit said.

The contract is to be signed shortly, she said, adding that the order of the frigates had already been approved by the Parliament's budget committee.

The Defence ministry said previously that the potential order volume amounts to about 2 bln eur.
