“BrahMos” Supersonic Missile To Be Demonstrated At MAKS-2007 Air Show

Airborne configuration of “BrahMos” supersonic missile, which is the joint development of Russia and India, will be presented to the public at MAKS-2007 air show, taking place in Zhukovsky in August.

“BrahMos” airborne configuration is designed for Su-30MKI fighters and Il-38 maritime patrol planes. Experts say that the possibility to use “BrahMos” missile on delivery aircrafts will increase demand for this missile both in India and third countries.

“Brahmos Airspace” company now negotiates with Indian Naval Forces and Russian “Ilushin” company to convert one Il-38 plane to carry 2-4 “Brahmos” missiles.
