Indian Air Force AN-32 Aircrafts to be Upgraded by Ukraine

An-32 ClineIndia and Ukraine are close to finalising a major deal worth Rs 495 crores to upgrade IAF's 118 An-32 transport aircraft.

A high level Ukranian Ukrspetsexport company delegation is here to finalise the contract, under which the Ukrainian company would undertake the upgradation to increase the aircraft's life from 15 to 25 years.

According to Ukranian officials, the upgrade would commence this year and the initial modernisation of 10 to 20 medium lift aircraft would be undertaken at the Keiv aircraft repair factory.
