Peruvian submarine makes port call at Kings Bay

Taking a break from joint naval exercises in which they play an adversary to the United States, the Peruvian submarine BAP Pisagua (SS 33) pulled into Kings Bay for a much deserved rest and relaxation period April 8.

This marks the fourth year the Peruvian Navy has participated in an annual naval exercise that includes composite, joint, and tactical development exercises with U.S. Atlantic Fleet forces.

"The training with U.S. submarines, helicopters and the carrier battle groups has been incredible for us because of their technology," said Capt. De Corbeta (executive officer) Luis Rocha Bedoya.
