Pakistan to build frigate with Chinese technology

Pakistan and China have signed an agreement for the indigenous construction of a fourth F-22P frigate as part of the growing ties between the two countries in the maritime sector.

The agreement also includes upgrading of Karachi Shipyard, besides training and technical assistance by the Chinese side during construction of the frigate.

The agreement was inked in Shanghai by Rear Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Rao, Managing Director Karachi Shipyard and Yu Yang, Executive Vice President China Shipbuilding Trading Company, the Pakistan Observer reported.
