Now that sale has taken the next step, as Greece has submitted its order for the aircraft and ancillary electronics, spares, and weapons. On October 25, 2005, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) formally notified Congress [PDF format] of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Greece of 40 F-16C/D Block 52+ aircraft as well as associated equipment and services. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $3.1 billion.
