Chinese subs and frigates may be Egypt's best choice: Sina

Chinese submarines and other naval vessels may once again be the best option for Egypt as it looks to update its fleet, says the Beijing-based Sina Military Network.

The Egyptian Armed Forces, one of the 40-plus militaries around the world equipped with Chinese weapons, recently conducted a series of large-scale live-fire exercises.

The naval portion of the drills featured China's Type 037 corvette and Type 024 class missile boat, both of which are capable of firing anti-ship and anti-submarine missiles.
