Romania pays EUR 25 mln for NATO’s new spy plane

RQ-4 Global HawkRomania will contribute some EUR 25 million to NATO’s purchase of four new Global Hawk 40 spy planes. The country will be able to use the planes whenever needed, reports local Digi24.

The Global Hawk 40, which was dubbed “The Eyes in the Sky” is the most advanced espionage plane produced to this day.

The plane offers real-time military and surveillance information and can be controlled from any part of the globe. It flies at over 18 kilometers and has a 30-hour autonomy. One hour of flight costs some USD 23,000.
