HMS Queen Elizabeth takes first delivery of 500 tonnes of fuel

HMS Queen ElizabethWork on HMS Queen Elizabeth has taken a major step forward following the delivery of 500 tonnes of fuel.

The aircraft carrier, which will be based in Portsmouth, is likely to arrive at the naval base at the end of next year.

The fuel delivery was a significant stage in the fitting-out process of the warship, which will be the biggest ever built for the Royal Navy.
