The US destroyer USS Porter joined today two other similar ships at the base Rota, in Andalusia, to reinforce the Spanish section of the missile defense system of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).The USS Porter departed from the base Norfolk, in the United States, on March 31 to join the destroyers USS Donald Cook and USS Ross, which have been in Rota since last year, expecting a fourth ship, the USS Carney.
The USS Porter arrived in Spain after participating in the NATO maneuvers Joint Warrior.
