Submarine John Warner completes first sea trials

Virginia class SSNA big milestone in the construction of the submarine John Warner, being built at Newport News Shipyard.

The Virginia-class submarine completed its first sea trials last Saturday.

"Alpha sea trials represent the first underway test of the quality of the craftsmanship that went into the construction of this great vessel and the skill of the crew that operates her," said Jim Hughes, Newport News' vice president of submarines and fleet support.
