Amazing time lapse of a modern aircraft carrier traveling the Suez Canal

Ever wondered how long it takes a modern aircraft carrier to transit the 101 mile long Suez Canal?

Thanks to the U.S. Navy there is some great time lapse footage of the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) doing just that. Let's just say it begins when the sun is up and ends well after the sun has set.

The USS Theodore Roosevelt is conducting operations in the U.S. Nay's 5th, 6th and 7th fleet area of responsibility.
