Turkish submarine heads to Cape Greco, baffles NATO

Preveze class SSKA Turkish submarine abruptly left manoeuvres during a NATO exercise and sailed off the eastern coast of Cyprus near Cape Greco, reports local TV station Sigmalive.

The sub sailed near "blocks 3 and 13 of the Cyprus EEZ passed between Cypriot boats and foreign ships”, the channel reported.

The submarine was taking part in "Blue Whale", a NATO naval military exercise, which started Monday in the Mediterranean.
