Russian defense export intermediary agency, Rosoboronexport, plans to sign several agreements for supplies of jet training/light attack aircraft Yak-130 to foreign partners over the following two or three years, head of Rosoboronexport department on exports of special property and services, Sergey Kornev, told journalists ahead of Farnborough airshow opening in Britain.
Yak-130 promotion to export markets was enabled by active production and use of the aircraft, Kornev said adding emergence of the new aerobatic display team, Wings of Taurida, would help increase foreign demand for the aircraft.
“The active marketing campaign is underway, and many countries’ air forces express great interest. Foreign pilots occasionally take place in demo flights on Yak-130, and the aircraft is always highly estimated by professionals,” Kornev said.
