Army Testing Different Types of Home-Made Weapons, Equipment on 2nd Day of Drills

Fajr-5 missileThe wargames, dubbed Beitol-Moqaddas 26, started in the general zone of Nasrabad in Isfahan province on Friday and will end today, May 24 the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr city from the Iraqi occupation during the 1980-1988 war.

Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force for Training General Hossein Shokouhi said different army units, including air force, airborne, infantry, armored, cavalry, artillery, air-defense, drone and logistical units have participated in the wargames.

He underlined that the primary goal of the maneuvers is upgrading the trainings, knowledge and combat preparedness of Army officers as well as preparing them for sensitive decisions under critical situation.

On Friday, the first stage of the Army's Beitol Moqaddas 26 was held in the presence of Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan in Kashan's Maranjab Desert.
