Firefighters were called to Portsmouth Naval Base during Prince Charles’ visit today - after fire broke out on a section of the carrier that will be named after him.Crews from Southsea, Cosham and Portchester fire stations attended the fire at the BAE Systems shipyard hall, where sections of what will be HMS Prince of Wales are being built, at 11am, at around the time that Charles and Camilla arrived at the nearby Mary Rose Museum.
The fire had started in a small compartment of the aircraft carrier.
