Two more arrests in bribes for subs scandal

Police have made two more arrests in a massive kickbacks scandal relating to the procurement of German submarines for the Greek navy.

Early on Monday, police arrested Sotiris Emmanouil, the former chairman of Hellenic Shipyards at Skaramagas, and Yiannis Beltsios, a former associate of jailed Pasok defence minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos.

According to the arrest warrants issued by investigators Mallis and Stavropoulos, the two are wanted for bribery and money laundering.
