Halifax navy base closes, several thousand sent home

Snos stormAs a blizzard continues to kick up snow in Halifax, many services and stores are closed, including CFB Halifax.

The base in Shearwater is closed for everyone except essential people.

That means several thousand sailors and civilians have been sent home and only essential personnel are left.
