Eight bidders in running for Polish submarine contract

Poland's Armament Inspectorate has confirmed that eight international and Polish bidders are in the running for a contract to build three new submarines for the Polish Navy.

The deadline for submitting applications to take part in technical talks about the contract elapsed on Friday.

Spain's Navantia, Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, France's DCNS, and Sweden's Saab are among the companies due to take part in the talks.
