Indonesian army helicopter crash kills 13: Bad weather played a role in crash

Mi-17 HipAn Indonesian army helicopter crash killed at least 13 people Saturday after the Mi-17 aircraft caught on fire in the jungles of Borneo.

As reported by Almanar today, the helicopter was carrying eight crew members who were military personnel, 13 civilian construction workers and 1,100 pounds worth of materials.

"Thirteen people died in the crash, while the rest suffered burn injuries," said military spokesman Iskandar Sitompul.
