July declared ‘busiest month’ for US drones, 23 killed in three strikes

MQ-9 ReaperJuly has been declared the busiest month for the CIA in terms of drone strikes carried out, resulting in the death of 23 persons through three hits.

According to the Express Tribune, CIA-operated unmanned aerial combat vehicles killed more people in Pakistan during July 2013 than at any other point in the past 12 months.

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism reported that CIA drone strikes had killed 746 people between 2006 and 2009, out of which 147 were civilians and included 94 children.
