USS Stennis undergoing 14 months of maintenance

USS John C. Stennis |The USS John C. Stennis, deployed for most of the past two years, won’t be going anywhere for a while.

The Bremerton-based aircraft carrier returned 11 days ago from back-to-back Middle East missions.

After a month on stand down while crew members reconnect with their families, the ship will begin a 14-month, $240 million maintenance period, including time in dry dock.
