The Turkish company Roketsan and the German IDAS Consortium formed by ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems and Diehl BGT Defence signed a cooperation agreement to develop and supply the submarine-launched IDAS (= Interactive Defence and Attack System for Submarines) missile.
The accord was inked at the IDEF Trade Show in Istanbul on May 9, 2013.
The signature ceremony took place in the presence of Thomas Kossendey, member of the German Parliament and parliamentarian secretary to the federal minister of defence and the German Armament Director Detlef Selhausen.
