ITT Exelis to provide electronic support systems to Australian ANZAC and LHD ships

Canberra class LHD |ITT Exelis has been awarded a contract valued at more than $102 million to provide the Electronic Support Measures (ESM) suite for Australia’s ANZAC frigates and the Canberra class LHD ships, enhancing the country’s national defense capabilities throughout the Pacific and Indian Ocean regions.

With this contract, Exelis continues to extend its leading edge electronic warfare capabilities to international customers.

The Exelis ES-3701 ESM system will significantly improve the Royal Australian Navy‘s capability to detect radars from other surface ships and aircraft.
