Iran Navy set to launch new Shaheed Bayandor destroyer

Jamaran Destroyer |A senior Iranian naval commander says Iran is set to launch a new indigenous destroyer called Shaheed Bayandor in line with efforts to boost naval capabilities.

Iran’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Saturday that the destroyer will officially join the Iranian naval fleet by next month.

Sayyari added that the new destroyer has new features, which will be unveiled during the launch of the vessel.
