Two Seawolf subs moving from Bremerton to Bangor

USS Connecticut (Seawolf class) |The Navy intends to move two fast attack submarines from Bremerton to Bangor to join their sister boat.

The USS Seawolf and USS Connecticut will unite with the USS Jimmy Carter in 2017, after accommodations are prepared. The project comprises enlarging a service pier and adding support buildings.

It’s one of two unrelated projects for which a combined environmental impact statement is being prepared. The other is extending the ends of a floating security fence to the shoreline with what’s called land-water interfaces.
