
The £26 million Wildcat attack helicopter, so powerful it can blow a submarine out of the water, will replace the Lynx fleet, which has served the Fleet Air Arm since the mid-70s.
Yesterday the chopper, which is fitted with the latest sensors, equipment and weapons, took its first flight from its base in Yeovil, Somerset.

ReplyDeleteI've heard some crazy things, but this takes the prize! Do you realize how powerful the engine would have to be to blow a submarine OUT OF THE WATER??? First of all, that much force would propel the helicopter out of the atmosphere! Secondly, this technology would probably be extremely more expensive that simply just dropping a torpedo in the water!
