Spy plane support contract about to become competitive

MC-12 Liberty |The Air Force’s 9th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract to Spectrum Comm. Inc. next month to provide Advisory & Assistance Services to a fleet of MC-12W “Liberty” intelligence planes based at Beal Air Force Base in California.

The 9th Contracting Squadron announced the contract award on Friday in documents released through the Federal Business Opportunities website.

The MC-12W is a medium altitude, twin-engine, turboprop aircraft. The aircrew consists of two pilots, a sensor operator and a cryptologic operator.
