Russia will start building new radar stations of the Voronezh class in three regions this year, spokesman for Russia’s Space Forces Col. Alexei Zolotukhin said on Sunday.
“The construction of new radar stations of the Voronezh class will start in [east Siberia's] Krasnoyarsk Territory and in [south Siberia’s] Altai Republic and in the Orenburg region [central Russia],” Zolotukhin said.
Four new generation Voronezh radar stations using a high factory readiness technology are already part of the missile attack early warning system, he said.
